Maggie Scheessele is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in orthopedics and sports medicine. She has experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, and her specific interests include Dance and Performing Arts Medicine. In addition to working at Druid Hills Physical Therapy, Maggie also works with dancers from Atlanta Ballet, diagnosing and treating their injuries in order to allow them to dance on stage.
She is certified in trigger point dry needling, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (Level 1), and she has taken extensive courses on pain science and manual plus manipulative therapy.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Indiana University in 2013 and a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Emory University in 2016. She also completed an Orthopedic Residency with Upstream Rehabilitation Institute in 2017.
Her hobbies include traveling with her husband Luke, hot yoga, crafting, reading, and listening to true crime podcasts.
